I warmed up about a mile and I felt great getting ready for the race. When we got to the line I was pretty nervous but once the gun went off I was ready to race. I stayed in the top ten for the first half mile and moved up to the top four by the first mile. I hung with the group and felt very comfortable then by the second mile it was me Alex Headquist, and Brayden Mclelland all together and it stayed like that until the last half mile. I pulled up a little but Brayden stayed with me so I stayed with him until the last 400. In the last 400 meters I made my move and pulled in front and then I sprinted in the last 150 meters. I really enjoyed this race and was honored to be racing with such talented runners. I didn't quite get the time I wanted but I was overjoyed with winning state so it didn't matter to me that much. I cooled down a mile after and I felt great.

Major congrats on winning the state title, Kramer! Great race strategy - you smoked those guys in the last half mile!

Well-done Kramer! State! That's a big deal and something you'll always take with you. Congrats.

Kramer, congrats, I saw the final sprint and when I heard your time I was surprised, that anyone could run that fast and still have that great of a kick.
